Although you can't escape the grooviness, they did a fine job of incorporating all the elements of the film into the, er. style of the time.
It's hard to see them trying something like that today, for better or for worse.
Although, bizarrely, only three sequences depicted (Nutcracker, Pastoral and Bald Mountain) and NO Mickey Mouse! But I still love it! And, of course, all the composers are named...
I have this beautiful stylised cover in the form of a small booklet on the 1970 reissue for Fantasia! It's a great psychedelic take on the classic movie!
There's a Mickey there... ;-)
