I only once had the opportunity to meet Annette Funicello, but she was as delightful, charming and gracious as you would hope...

A wonderful, vivacious talent and, through the long years of her illness, inspiringly courageous...

    A sad day indeed. I have never heard a word spoken against her, and such a natural in everything she did. Never forgotten.

    I adored her from the moment I first saw the Mickey Mouse Club on television. (Not understanding about reruns in my childhood, I thought it was all happening right then, although when I saw these reruns it was the early 1960s.)

    I spent the day yesterday singing "Now it's time to say goodbye..."
